Sheena with Gena Lee Nolan. She is the protector of the jungle, a force of nature and one with the animals. A child of Africa. A legend of the people. A modern day hero... she is Sheena.
Orphaned by tragedy at a young age Sheena was raised by Kali, the last living member of the Kaya tribe. The tribe held the mystical and secret power of shape shifting, and now it is a gift shared by Sheena. It is her destiny to use her extraordinary power and her understanding of a past civilization to the modern world.
Sheena was produced by TV syndicator Hearst Entertainment in October 2000, portrayed by Gena Lee Nolin, formerly of The Price Is Right and Baywatch. Sheena was given a new power in this 35-episode Columbia/TriStar series, the ability to adopt the form of any warm-blooded animal once she gazed into its eyes. She was also depicted as a ferocious killer when she becomes a humanoid creature called the Darak'Na.
